1 � � <br /> rThe soils encountered in both B-1 and B-2 were consistent with the description of the <br /> rTokay fine sandy loam as defined in the"Soil Survey of San Joaquin County,California'' <br /> FINDINGS: <br /> rThe UST in question was installed in the latter part of 1980,filled once and then emptied, <br /> and remained empty and unused until it was abandoned in place under observation by <br /> r the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department in 1988. Soil samples <br /> acquired from beneath the tank were collected on April 6,2005 and analyzed for Lead, <br /> Gasoline,BTEX,and Oxygenates pursuant to San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> r Department protocols.10 Lead was detected at or below background levels. Gasoline, <br /> BTEX,and Oxygenates were not detected in either of the samples analyzed. <br /> rCONCLUSIONS: <br /> Based on the use and abandonment history of the subject UST along with the sample <br /> r collection and analytical results RNC Environmental has concluded that there has not <br /> been a release of petroleum products into the soils underlying the tank. <br /> rRECOMMENDATIONS: <br /> RNC Environmental recommends no further action be taken at this site.
