Soil Suitability/ Nitrate Loading Study Nerracon <br /> Souza Property Tracy, CA <br /> February 28, 2020 Terracon Project No. NA207011 <br /> SOIL SUITABILITY / NITRATE LOADING STUDY <br /> SOUZA PROPERTY <br /> APN 248-240-21 <br /> 27420 WALNUT COURT <br /> TRACY, CALIFORNIA <br /> TERRACON PROJECT NUMBER: NA207011 <br /> Our office was contacted by Mr. Dennis Souza to conduct a Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study <br /> (SS/NLS) for the property at 27420 Walnut Court, Tracy, California, San Joaquin County (SJC). <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, San <br /> Joaquin County, Environmental Health Department (EHD) Soil Suitability Study Requirements <br /> Checklist, dated September 25, 2007 and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist, dated <br /> July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.0 SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> 1.1 Introduction and Development <br /> The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether site soils are suitable for <br /> septic system usage. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9- <br /> 110.05.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet absorption rates as specified by EHD. A review <br /> of published soil information, geologic maps, and groundwater information was also performed. <br /> 1.1.1 Site Description <br /> The site consists of an approximately 1.49-acre tract of partially developed land located at 27420 <br /> Walnut Court, Tracy, California, San Joaquin County, California, Assessor Parcel Number(APN) <br /> 248-240-21. Based on a review of recent Google Earth aerial photos and interviews with Mr. <br /> Souza,the site is improved with an existing approximately 2,500 SF residence and septic system. <br /> According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer the site is zoned rural residential (R-R) . <br /> Based on a review of the San Joaquin County Community Development Department website, the <br /> R-R is intended to provide for large lot rural homesites within or adjacent to existing rural <br /> communities, with sufficient area to allow for individual water supply, sewage disposal, and <br /> stormwater drainage, but not to support significant commercial agriculture. <br /> According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Vernalis California Quadrangle dated <br /> 1991. The elevation of the site is approximately 107 feet above mean sea level with a topographic <br /> gradient generally sloping towards the east. <br /> Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 3 <br />
