Can you check to see if an MFR has already been filed?
Thanks,
-Dick
From: Bill Cook [mailto:bcook@condorearth.com]
Sent: Monday, March 01, 2010 5:27 PM
To: Dick Brownfield [EH]
Cc: Cheryl Field [EH]; Donna Heran [EH]
Subject: Encroachment permits and fees
Excellent, public works of the cay andz=ty haven't responded yet to determine the number of encroachment permits. This is all
one investigation. And it will also include the installation of seven monitoring wells as well. The work plan has already been
approved by the RWQCB and we will include a copy with the permit application.
We are working for the City of Stockton Municipal Utilities District. Is it possible that will affect the need for a MFR or the fees?
I have been told that some city agencies have interagency fee agreements. Perhaps a MFR has already been filed. We installed
several wells near the ponds several years ago. Is there any information that I can give you that would help answer that question?
By the way, this is not an Underground Storage Tank project. We are investigating background water quality. The results should
be of interest to many of us that work with groundwater quality management issues.
From: Dick Brownfield [EH] [mailto:dbrownfield@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Monday, March 01, 2010 4:51 PM
To: Bill Cook
Cc: Cheryl Field [EH]; Donna Heran [EH]
Subject: FW: Are encroachment permits required for my project?
Hello-
Regarding your questions regarding encroachment permits:
A work plan should be submitted, or a work plan approved by another regulatory agency should be
submitted , with the nature of the investigation noted.
County Public Works would have to make the determination of how many encroachment permits are
needed.
One drilling permit from our agency is required if this is all one investigation, as it appears to be.
We would also require the submission of a Master File Record (MFR) and any related fees, which you
may have already submitted.
3/2/2010
