The report summarized previous sampling results and
proposed an SVE pilot test.
The highest concentrations of PCE in soil gas occur inside the dry cleaning facility
near the dry cleaning machine. The highest soil gas concentration was reported as
8,700 ug/m3 and was located immediately adjacent to the dry cleaning machine. LFR
proposes to test one location for vapor flow. If adequate flow is unable to be induced
at that location, than another location near the dry cleaning machine will be flow
tested. The flow test consist of a "stepped rate" test and a "constant rate" test. If
adequate flow is induced in a test location, a full scale SVE system will be designed
based on the data collected from the tests. LFR will submit the results of the pilot test
and design parameters of the SVE system for Regional Board review and
concurrence.
Please contact me with all questions and concerns at 916 284 5449 or via
email...thanks
Roberto Cervantes
Site Cleanup Program
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board 11020 Sun Center Drive, #200
Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
916.464.4682 direct
t
