The Letter was submitted in <br /> response to my 1 December 2008 letter, which requested a draft Fact Sheet containing a very brief Site <br /> history, discussing investigative and remedial activities conducted at the Site, current Site conditions, <br /> and your findings that the residual constituents mass remaining in soil and groundwater beneath your <br /> Site does not pose a threat to human health or waters of the state. I also required that the Fact Sheet <br /> state your intent to obtain Site closure from the Regional Board, include a method by which any <br /> interested individuals may obtain additional information regarding the Site or make comments regarding <br /> the possible closure of the Site, and asked for a list of all owners of property within 500' of the Site with <br /> the owners and the properties addresses. The Fact Sheet did not discuss submittal of public comments. <br /> Therefore, the Fact Sheet will also state in the text that written comments to the proposed Site closure <br /> shall be sent to me at the Regional Board address listed in the header above, and that written comments <br /> will be accepted until a specific date (to be included in the Fact Sheet text), which shall be calculated as <br /> 48 days after the actual mailing date, to allow time for the recipients to receive the Fact Sheet by mail. <br /> Please mail one copy of the revised Fact Sheet to each owner of the commercial properties (no <br /> - duplicates for ownership of multiple properties on the List), for all business tenants as applicable, and to— <br /> me. Upon completion of the Public Participation comment period, I will provide copies of any adverse <br /> comments to you, and evaluate your written responses to those comments, prior to continuing our <br /> closure process.
