r ti <br /> 1 � � <br /> SIERRA <br /> Clint Rogers Page 4 <br /> October 30 1991 <br /> SES Project #1-146-01 <br /> 4 Complete the boring as 2-inch diameter monitoring well <br /> 5 Develop the well, collect ground water samples and analyze the samples for TPPH(G) and <br /> BTEX <br /> 6 Survey the top of casing elevation of the new well and measure depth to ground water in <br /> all wells Using the previously existing and new survey data and the water level data, <br /> verify the ground water flow direction and gradient at the site <br /> 7 Arrange for disposal of the drill cuttings and well purge water <br /> 8 Report the results <br /> Each of these tasks is described below <br /> Task 1 - Site Safety Plan <br /> Using available site history information, SES will prepare a site-specific safety plan The <br /> safety plan will identify potential site hazards and specify procedures to protect site workers The <br /> safety plan will be on-site dunng field operations The site safety pian is included under separate <br /> cover <br /> Task 2 - Monitoring Well Abandonment <br /> One monitoring well, MW-1 will be abandoned The boring will be drilled out and the <br /> resulting boring will be grouted to the surface The grout will consist of Portland Cement mixed <br /> with 3 to 5% bentonite powder <br /> Tasks 3 and 4 - Drilling and Monitoring Well Installation <br /> One soil boring will be drilled at the site, directly downgradient of the former tanks and one <br /> monitoring well will be installed in the boring in accordance with SES Standard Operating <br /> IsProcedure - Monitoring Well Design and Construction (Appendix C) A typical well construction <br /> detail is included in Appendix A <br />
