S E C O R <br /> Conceptual Site Model <br /> Chevron Service Station#9-6171 <br /> March 25, 2005 <br /> IPage 16 <br /> • Former Norge Cleaning Village, located at 878 Lincoln Center, Stockton, California <br /> • Jack Fuller Properties/Former Service Station, located at 911 Clarane Avenue, <br /> Stockton, California <br /> A discussion of each of these potential sources is presented below <br /> 61 Chevron Service Station #9-6171 — 6633 Pacific Avenue <br /> A discussion of the site is presented in sections 3 through 5 <br /> 6.2 Shelf Service Station— 6131 Pacific Avenue <br /> The site Is currently an active Shell station and is located on the southwest corner at the <br /> intersection of Pacific and Porter Avenues The initial site layout Included a kiosk located <br /> between four canopied pump islands The site was remodeled between 1991 and 1995 to <br /> remove the kiosk and replace it with a convenience center In June 1990, Aegis <br /> Environmental Consultants (AEC) removed three single walled USTs (one 8,000-gallon <br /> capacity and two 10,000-gallon capacity) and associated product piping from the UST pit on <br /> the northwest edge of the property The excavation was backfilled with original material <br /> and brought to grade with imported fill Three 12,000-gallon double walled USTs and <br /> product piping were subsequently Installed on northeast edge of the property <br /> 6.2.1 Soil Sampling and Analyses <br /> P 9 Y <br /> In June 1990, 14 soil borings were advanced into the existing UST pit and into the <br /> proposed area of the new UST pit One soil boring (B-1) was drilled on the north of the <br /> proposed tank location pit to determine depth to groundwater Groundwater was <br /> encountered approximately 53 feet bgs Four soil borings (B-2 to B-5) were drilled near the <br /> corners of the existing tank basin The soil samples recovered contained TPI-Ig ranging <br /> from below method detection limits to 17,000 mg/kg (B-3/3) The BTEX constituents <br /> recovered contained benzene from below method detection limits to 400 mg/kg (B-3/3), <br /> toluene from below method detection limits to 600 mg/kg (B-3/10), ethylbenzene from below <br /> method detection limits to 200 mg/kg (B-3/3), and xylene from below method detection <br /> limits to 830 mg/kg (B-3/3) Three exploratory soil borings (B-6 to B-8) were advanced to <br /> determine the lateral extent of hydrocarbon contamination Soil borings B-6 and B-7 were <br /> located south of the station kiosk and adjacent to the existing tank pit TPI-Ig was not <br /> detected at or above the method detection limits in soil samples collected from these <br /> borings However, BTEX ranging from below the method detection limits to 0 019 mg/kg <br /> (B-7/9), 0 11 mg/kg (B-7/9), 0 011 mg/kg (B-6/6), and 0 033 mg/kg (B-719), respectively, <br /> was detected Soil boring B-8 was drilled north of the station kiosk and adjacent to the <br /> proposed replacement tank pit Soil samples collected from this boring contained TPI-Ig <br /> N 1Ftles\Projectslchevron\RetaiR#&64711Site conceptual ModelTINAL_CSM doc <br />
