I <br /> SIERRA <br /> 1.INTRODUCTION <br /> 1.1 Scope of Work f <br /> ?` This report presents the results of the subsurface investigation completed by Sierra <br /> Environmental Services(SES) at the Chevron Service Station located at 6633 Pacific Avenue in <br /> Stockton,California (Figure 1,Appendix A), The scope of work for the investigation was to: <br /> _, 1. Prepare a site safety plan specific to this investigation based on present site use. <br /> 1� i <br /> f 2. Drill four soil borings and collect soil samples for sediment and hydrogeologic description, <br /> and for chemical analysis: <br /> 3. Survey the soil samples in the field with an organic vapor meter(OVM) to determine the <br /> presence or absence of volatile hydrocarbons in the samples. <br /> 4. Analyze the soil samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons TPPH(G),and benzene,toluene, <br /> ethyluenzene and xylenes MTEX). In addition, analyze the soil sa,ple•s from the well by <br /> the waste oil tank for other volatile organic compounds(VOCs), and total oil and grease <br /> (TOG). <br /> - 5. Install four 4-inch diameter monitoring wells, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4 and MW-5. <br /> 6. Develor 'tic wells, collect ground water samples and analyze the samples for TPPH (G), <br /> BTEIX. ethylr.xe dibromide (EDS) and lead (Pb). In addition, analyze the ground water <br /> z sample ire-S,t the well by the waste oil tank for otherVOCs,TOG and metals(Cd.Cr.N1 and <br /> Zn). ArFajs-&:the sample collected from the well located within 50 ft of the;sanitary sewer <br /> line for total coliform. ?n� <br /> 7, Survey the top of casing elevations of the wells,measure ground water depths and product <br /> thickness(if present)in all site wells to determine the direction of ground water flow in the <br /> site vicinity: <br /> t <br /> 3.
