Surface water drainage is down to thi southeast, <br /> f' The site is located In the Eastern San Joaquin Basin ISJB)Hydrogeologic Study Area. The <br /> hk SJB has experienced severe overdraft for the last several years. Water levels have declined and <br /> E poor quality ground water from the Delta has moved cast toward the City of Stockton.' Water <br /> quality in the Stockton area has been affected and wells have been abandoned In the western part <br /> of the area, New wells have been drilled in the eastern part of the cityand ground water has been <br /> Supplemented with water from the Calaveras River through the Stockton-East Water District <br /> Aqueduct(p. 44). <br /> ! The site is Iocated in the Great Valley Geomorphic province which is a north-west trending <br /> asymmetric structural trough. The basin is crossed by two major faults,the Stockton fault,which <br /> separates the Sacramento and the San Joaquin sub-basins and the White Wolf fault in the <br /> southern part of the basin. The site Is underlain by Cenozolc non-marine alluvial deposits which <br /> consist of Interbedded sand, silt and claY.'
