(Cambria) on your behalf for the above-
referenced site. In this work plan Cambria proposes a review of the City of Ripon
historical supply well records to determine whether groundwater pumping from a nearby
municipal well has had an influence on .this site; advancement of ten direct push
Geoprobe R borings to investigate soil lithology and collect grab groundwater samples at
each borehole; and advancement of three cone penetrometer testing (CPT) borings to
generate continuous logs of computer-interpreted soil types and collect depth-discrete
grab groundwater samples.
EHD concurs with the recommendation to review municipal supply well records to
determine if there are correlations between groundwater data collected at this site and
regional groundwater pumping from the nearby municipal well located west of this site.
EHD believes the ten proposed Geoprobe° borings are appropriately located as listed
below:
• Advancement of a boring approximately 120 feet northeast of monitoring well
MW-7 where the underground diesel piping makes a ninety degree angle;
• Advancement of a boring approximately 70 feet southeast of MW-1, adjacent
to the north side of the lube bay building;
• Advancement of a boring approximately 65 feet southeast of MW-7, adjacent
to the east side of the tire shop;
