CONESTO 3A-ROVERS <br /> &ASSOCIATES <br /> SITE ASSESSMENT WORK PLAN <br /> JIMCO TRUCK PLAZA <br /> 1022 FRONTAGE ROAD <br /> RIPON, CALIFORNIA <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> On behalf ofOlympian JV(Olympian),Conestoga-Rovers&Associates,Inc.(CRA)has prepared this Site <br /> Assessment Work Plan for the referenced site. In letter correspondence dated January 31,2008,the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(SJCEHD)requested a work plan to: <br /> • Determine the source of the diesel-range hydrocarbons near the diesel pump station(Northwest, <br /> west;south,and southeast)and in the vicinity of MW-6 <br /> • Delineate the diesel-range hydrocarbon in soil and groundwater on-and off site toward the south. <br /> A copy of the SJCEHD correspondence is included as Appendix A. Presented below is the site <br /> background,a summary of previous investigations,an evaluation of the contaminant distribution,and the <br /> proposed scope of work and schedule. <br /> 2.0 SITE BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1 Site Description <br /> The site is located at 1022 Frontage Road (formerly 22502 South Highway 99) in Ripon; California <br /> (Figure 1). The site is at an elevation of approximately 58 feet above mean sea.level (ft ams]) with <br /> generally flat topography. T-he site is an, operating truck, service station with several .structural <br /> improvements. Along the northern property boundary are several contiguous buildings that facilitate the <br /> operation of retail businesses including a convenience store,a restaurant,a coin-operated laundry facility, <br /> an office building,and a warehouse that contains several diesel truck repair shops: -A separate structure <br /> near the southern boundary of the site accommodates a truck wash and truck service bay. Other site <br /> improvements include ten fuel dispensers,one split 8,000-gallon and 12,000 gallon gasoline underground <br /> storage tank(UST),four 30,000-gallon diesel aboveground storage tanks(ASTs),a propane tank,a 4,500- <br /> gallon oil water separator,and a truck scale..
