Fire Prevention and Suppression
Based on the nature of the proposed use for mixed light cultivation of cannabis using limited artificial
light, the primary potential fire hazard would be a malfunction related to the cultivation lamps located
within the greenhouses. The risk of this occurring is minimal.
To protect against potential fire hazards,at least one large water tank for fire suppression will be installed
at a central location on the property near the greenhouses for use by the fire department in case of
emergency. Roads will be 25'wide and allow fire trucks to be within 150'of all buildings, ensuring ease
of access.
A licensed fire suppression firm shall be retained with a report commissioned to determine the layout of
fire suppression equipment and develop a comprehensive plan for fire suppression and prevention.
Furthermore,Fire Extinguishers shall be mounted within each Greenhouse Module to be used in case of
an emergency.
In the event of a fire QGF personnel shall be trained to:
ALERT others on the floor by activating the manual fire alarm pull station and direct others to begin
immediate evacuation.
REPORT the fire to 911 and QGF Management at(209)497-2009 as soon as possible from a safe
location.
ATTEMPT TO EXTINGUISH the fire only if trained and feel comfortable doing so. Do not attempt to
extinguish a fire which is larger than a trash can. Always leave yourself a good escape route from the area
while attempting to extinguish the fire. If the fire cannot be safely and quickly contained, leave the area
immediately and close all doors behind you as you exit.
EVACUATION: During business hours, security and key personnel will assist with a quick and orderly
evacuation, search of the facility, and assist disabled vendors, and staff members. Proceed to the parking
lot which will serve as the designated evacuation area.
Treat all alarms as an emergency.
ISOLATE the fire by closing all doors behind you as you exit.
AUTHORITY in a fire or other emergency rests with the City of Manteca and San Joaquin County Fire
Departments and other emergency responders, and with QGF Management.
Medical Emergency
In the event of a medical emergency:
Remember that it is best to err on the side of caution. If a person is experiencing significant distress, call
for professional assistance immediately.
CALL 911.Give the following information:
Quality Genetics Farms I I
