INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Dan Koch of Olympian Oil Company, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for the Jimco Truck Plaza,located at 22502 South Highway <br /> 99,Ripon, California(the site) The scope of work included quarterly ground water monitoring and <br />' preparation of this report The location of the site and the immediately surrounding area are <br /> illustrated on Figure 1, structures and boring and monitoring well locations on the site are illustrated <br /> on Figure 2 <br />' This report has been prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the subsurface investigation of <br />' underground storage tank (UST) sites Background information, including details of previous site <br /> assessment work, was presented in AGE's report titled Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation <br /> Report (PIER), dated 13 December 1999 <br /> I <br /> 1 • 2.0 PROCEDURES <br /> Field work was conducted in accordance with guidelines established by the CVRWQCB for the <br />' investigation of UST sites and the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br /> for sampling of ground water monitoring wells <br />' 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br />' On 14 May 2003, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water from <br /> the well casing tops in wells MW-1 through MW-9 The depths to ground water are summarized in <br /> Table 1 <br />' After water levels were gauged, disposable plastic bailers were used to purge the monitoring wells <br /> of a minimum of three casing-water volumes (approximately 2 5 to 5 5 gallons)of ground water A <br />' measurement of 0 13 feet of free-phase product was observed in well MW-6 and also 0 08 feet of <br /> free-phase product was observed in well MW-1 Observed in the first bailer of water removed the <br /> well during purging, the free product was extracted after two gallons of purge water was removed <br />' from the well casing <br /> For wells without product temperature, pH, and conductivity were measured at approximately one <br />' or three-gallon intervals using an Oakton Water Analyzer The field data sheets are included in <br /> Appendix A Purged water was stored on site in 55-gallon drums <br />
