Well Installation and Ground Water Aquifer Pumping Test <br /> JIMCO TRUCK PLAZA <br />' 22502 South Highway 99, Ripon, California <br />' 10. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Dan Koch of OLYMPIAN OIL COMPANY, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, <br />' Inc (AGE) has prepared this report on activities conducted at 22502 South Highway 99, Ripon, <br /> California (site) One ground water monitoring well and a ground water extraction well were <br />' installed and a ground water aquifer pumping test was conducted in June 2002 The site setting is <br /> illustrated on Figure i Site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br />' This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board-Central Valley Division for investigation of underground storage tank(UST) <br /> sites Well installation and ground water extraction procedures were outlined in Site Assessment and <br />' Remediation Feasibility Work Plan, dated 8 June 2001 and Aquifer Pumping Test Work Plan <br /> Addendum, dated 29 November 2001, respectively, both work plans were approved by the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)by letter dated 02 July and 30 November <br />' 2001,respectively Background information,including details of previous site assessment work,was <br /> presented in AGE's report titled Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report(PIER), dated 13 <br /> December 1999 <br /> 1 <br /> 2.0. WELL INSTALLATION <br /> Iry 3p�D? <br /> On 20 fdarch 2 02, ground water extraction well EW-1 and ground water monitoring well MW-9 <br />' were installed at the site <br />' 21 INSTALLATION PROCEDURES <br /> Soil borings for the wells were advanced utilizing a CME-75 high-torque, truck-mounted drill ng, <br />' 12-inch diameter hollow-stem augers were utilized to bore extraction well EW-1 and 8-inch diameter <br /> hollow-stem augers were used for monitoring well MW-9 Soil boring EW-1 was advanced vertically <br /> to a depth of 36 feet below surface grade (bsg), and,soil boring MW-9 was advanced vertically to <br />' a depth of 30 feet bsg The well locations are depicted in Figure 2 Soil cuttings were placed in <br /> plastic on the southern portion of the site,rinseate were containerized in DOT-approved 55-gallon <br /> drums and placed in the same location <br /> 2 1 1 Soil Sampling and Analysis <br /> Soil samples were collected from borings EW-1 and MW-9 at five-foot intervals, beginning at 20 <br /> feet bsg in boring EW-1 and at 5 feet bsg in MW-9,utilizing a Califorma split-spoon sampler loaded <br /> with 2-inch by 6-inch brass sleeves The sampler was driven by dropping a 140-pound weight from <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> 1 <br />
