Site Assessment Report
1022 Frontage Road
C A M B R I A Ripon, California
December 16, 2005
Groundwater Depths Groundwater was first encountered to borings AS-1,MW-10,and B-18 at
depths of 25, 24, and 25 ft bgs,respectively On August 15, 2005, static
groundwater was observed in wells AS-1 and MW-10 at 24 90 and 24 30
ft bgs, respectively
Well Construction Wells AS-1 and MW-10 were constructed with 2-inch-diameter schedule
40 PVC well casing and 0 010-inch slotted well screen from 30 to 33 ft
bgs and 15 to 35 ft bgs, respectively The wells were completed with No
2112 sand from the bottom of each well to approximately 1 foot above the
top of the screened casing, which was overlain by approximately 2 ft of
hydrated bentonite, and then cement grout to the surface A locking well
cap and traffic-rated well box were installed on each well Boring logs
and well construction details are included in Appendix B In addition,
well construction details are summarized in Table 3
Well Development On August 27, 2005 Muskan Environmental Sampling (NMS) of Yuba
City, California developed well MW-10 by mechanically surging and
• purging the water in the well After about twenty minutes of initial
surging, groundwater was purged from the well using tubing with a check
valve Surging and extraction continued until at least ten well-casing
volumes of groundwater were extracted and the turbidity of the
groundwater was significantly reduced Well development data sheets are
included in Appendix F
Well Elevation Survey On August 29,2005,Virgil Chavez Land Surveying(Chavez)of Vallejo,
California, surveyed the latitude, longitude, and coordinates of well s AS-1
and MW-10, and boring B-18 based on California State Coordinate
System, Zone III (NAD83) and elevation of the well casing and well box
relative to San Joaquin County benchmark M-37 located at the northeast
corner of Jack Tone Road and Clinton This benchmark's elevation is at
56 51feet, NGVD 29 The survey reports are presented in Appendix G
Geotracker All necessary data has been uploaded to the California State Water
Resources Control Board's Geotracker Database as required by Title 23,
Division 3, Chapter 30, Articles 1 and 2, Sections 3890-3895 of the
California Code of Regulations Confirmations of these Geotracker
uploads are presented in Appendix H
8
