C A M B R I A <br /> SITE ASSESSMENT REPORT <br /> JIMCO TRUCK PLAZA <br /> 1022 FRONTAGE ROAD <br /> RIPON, CALIFORNIA <br /> DECEMBER 16, 2005 <br /> 1 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> On behalf of Olympian JV (Olympian), Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc (Cambria) has <br /> prepared this Site Assessment Report for the referenced site The site assessment activities were <br /> conducted in accordance with Cambria's May 18, 2005 Work Plan for Additional Site Assessment <br /> (work plan) The work plan was approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department(SJCEHD)in letter correspondence dated July 13,2005,with the provision that Cambria <br /> move the proposed monitoring well MW-10 to a location due west of MW-9,and that soil boring B-18 <br /> be continuously sampled and logged A copy of the SJCEHD correspondence is included in Appendix <br /> A The objectives of the site assessment were to assess the lateral extent of impacted groundwater <br /> west of wells MW-8 and MW-9, and to assess the vertical extent of impacted groundwater in the <br /> vicinity of the former underground storage tanks(USTs)as requested by the SJCEHD In addition,a <br /> secondary objective was to install an air spargmg well downgradient of the source area to conduct a <br /> soil vapor extraction/air sparging(SVE/AS)pilot test Details and the findings of the aforementioned <br /> activities are described herein <br /> 2 0 SITE BACKGROUND <br /> 21. Site Description <br /> The site is located at 1022 Frontage Road (formerly 22502 South Highway 99) in Ripon, California <br /> (Figure 1) The site is at an elevation of approximately 58 feet above mean sea level (ft ams]) with <br /> generally flat topography The site is an operating truck service station with several structural <br /> improvements Along the northern property boundary are several contiguous buildings that facilitate <br /> the operation of retail businesses including a convenience store,a restaurant,a coin-operated laundry <br /> facility,an office building,and a warehouse that contains several diesel truck repair shops A separate <br /> structure near the southern boundary of the site accommodates a truck wash and truck service bay <br /> Other site improvements include ten fuel dispensers,one split 8,000-gallon and 12,000 gallon gasoline <br /> underground storage tank (UST), four 30,000-gallon diesel aboveground storage tanks (ASTs), a <br />
