Weber,Avenue,,Third floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 .' <br /> Subject: Excavation and Disposal of Hydrocarbon-Impacted Soil <br /> OLYMPIAN MBP -Jimco truck Plaza <br /> 22502 South.Highway 99-Ripon,-California <br /> Dear Mr. Rowe: <br /> At the request of Olympian Oil,Advanced GeoEnvironmeiital, Inc, (AGE) has prepared this letter <br /> • regarding the removal of underground storage tanks (USTs), excavation of hydrocarbon-impacted <br /> soil and disposal of soil at 22502 South Highway 99 in.Ripon, California. The location of the site <br /> is illustrated in Figure 1. A plan of the site, showing major structures and former and present USTs <br /> and above-ground storage tanks (ASTs), is illustrated in Figure 2. <br /> The following information was obtained from representatives of Olympian Oil, Walton Construction <br /> and Grayland Environmental: <br /> Removal of Former Northern Fuel Islands <br /> • On 18 June 1998, six fuel dispenser islands and associated piping were removed from the <br /> northern end of the fuel system. Product lines and dispensers were excavated and soil <br /> samples were collected for petroleum hydrocarbon analysis. Approximately 150 cubic yards, <br /> of soil were excavated from the lines and dispenser area and stockpiled near the east end of <br /> the service building. The-stockpiles were designated as "SP2-East" (Figure 2). <br /> • Stockpile SP2-East was characterized on 01 September 1998. Three-samples were collected <br /> by representatives of Grayland Environmental and transmitted to Kil An for analysis. <br /> installation of Upgraded UST System and Dispenser Islands <br /> • A new UST was installed south of the Operations/Mini-Mart-building beginning on 15 July <br /> 1998.
