,E
7.0 TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY 6 MAPPING - -'
The AE shall provide topographic (topo) maps of the project areas as shown on
Figure 1 and Figure 2. The topo maps shall include a 100 foot square (100 FT
by 100 FT) at the proposed location of the treatment facility, and proposed
holding pond, and a 50 foot wide strip survey of the water transmission lines
(including all of the wells) . The surveys shall be provided at a scale of one
inch = 30 feet and show one foot contours with each five foot contour being
identified. The topo maps and all coordinates shall be referenced to the
North American D.a-_um of 1983 (NAD83) ; and all elevations shall be referenced
to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88) . The final drafted topo
map shall be on a polyester drawing film (mylar) which is 30" x 42" (standard
"F" size drawing) .
7. 1 All surface features within the area to be surveyed shall be shown
and identified on the 1 inch = 30 feet topo maps. In addition, these features
shall be located by sufficient distance ties and labeled on the topo sheets to
permit accurate scaling and identification. The phrase "surface features" is
intended to include, but is not necessarily limited to, the following existing
features:
7.1.1 Power lines and communication lines (underground as well as above
ground) , street light poles, guy wires, vaults (including handholes and
manholes) , transformers and substations. Indicate the type and number of each
power pole, the number of wires, and locate the intersection of all guy wires
with the natural ground.
7.1.2 Sanitary and industrial sewer manholes and all storm drainage
structures, such as culverts, headwalls, inlets, cleanouts, and manholes. Al-
ways obtain an elevation at the flow line at the bottom of all the pipes con-
nected to a manhole or inlet (invert elevations) . Clearly identify the size
and type of each pipe. Obtain the pipe invert elevation up and downstream of
all manholes and inlets even if beyond the limits of the required topo.
Provide sketches where needed for detail and clarity.
7.1.3 Water, gas, and other above or below ground pressure pipes. Lo-
cate all fire hydrants, hose bibs, valve meters, regulators, and so forth,
within the limits of the area to be surveyed. Include all information on the
location and the size of each pressure pipe on the topo map. Use sketched in-
serts where needed for detail and clarity.
AA-19
