• <br /> A. REMEDIAL, REMOVAL, AND INVESTIGATION ACTIVITIES <br /> 1. REMEDIAL, REMOVAL, AND INVESTIGATION ACTIVITIES: Discussion of <br /> Analytical Results. <br /> a. MONITORING WELLS ANALYTICAL RESULTS (See Quality Assurance <br /> Laboratory' s Report <br /> Sharpe' s monitoring wells are sampled at least once per quarter. <br /> Selected wells within the influence zone of the North Balloon Groundwater <br /> Treatment System are sampled on a monthly basis. All samples are analyzed <br /> for: Halogenated Volatile Organics by EPA Method 601; Aromatic Volatile <br /> Organics by EPA Method 602; and Arsenic by EPA Method 7060. <br /> Tabulated contaminant data from the quarterly and monthly <br /> sampling is included in Section 2. Groundwater contour map will be submitted <br /> under separate cover. <br /> b. POTABLE WATER WELLS ANALYTICAL_RESULTS <br /> Sharpe' s potable water wells (H5, N3, N1) along with thirty-four <br /> (32) privately owned potable water wells mostly west of the installation are <br /> sampled quarterly. The report of results is provided to the owner or leasor <br /> of the property on which the wells reside. All samples are analyzed for: <br /> Halogenated and Aromatic Volatile Organics by EPA Method 524.2; and Arsenic <br /> by EPA Method 206.2. Residents are provided a copy of the results. <br /> The wells were found to contain VOC' s less than 0.5 ug/L <br /> (Detection Limit) and Arsenic less than 50 ug/L (MCL) except: <br /> Address Compound Concentration ug/L) MCLJu /L <br /> 342 Roth TCE 1.14 5 <br /> 427 Roth PCE 1.28 5 <br /> c. GROUNDWATER TREATMENT AND RECEIVING WATER ANALYTICAL RESULTS. <br /> Summary and discussion of results are included in Sharpe' s <br /> Monthly National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit <br /> CA 0081931 Report. All parties to the Federal Facility Agreement are <br /> furnished a copy of this report. <br /> d. SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS CONTRACT <br /> Sampling and analysis contract was awarded October 1, 1991 , to <br /> Quality Assurance Laboratory (QAL) of San Diego, California. <br />
