III-GENERAL FACILITY CONDITIONS <br /> A. DESIGN AND OPERATION OF FACILITY <br /> 1. The Permittee shall maintain and operate Buildings 530 and 605 to <br /> minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion or any unplanned <br /> sudden or nonsudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous waste <br /> constituents to the air, soil or surface water which could <br /> threaten human health or the environment. (40 CFR 264.311 <br /> 2. The Permittee shall not dispose of hazardous waste at the <br /> facility. (40 CFR 270.32(b) ] <br /> 3. At no time will the Permittee be allowed to store at <br /> Buildings 530 and 605 a qudEfilty of hazardous waste greater than <br /> the design capacities of 5,500 and 15,455 gallons, respectively. <br /> [40 CFR 264.175] <br /> B. ANALYSIS OF WASTE <br /> 1. General Requirements <br /> a. Unless otherwise specifically stated elsewhere in this <br /> Permit , the Permittee shall follow the written Waste <br /> Analysis Plan specified in Section V of the Part B <br /> 00 Application as required by 40 CFR 264.13. (40 CFR 264.13] <br /> b. The detailed chemical and physical analysis required by <br /> 40 CFR 264.13 (a) shall be performed by the Permittee to <br /> ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date on an annual <br /> basis, and when the Permittee is notified or has reason to <br /> believe that the process or operation generating the <br /> hazardous waste has changed. [40 CFR 264.13(a) ] <br /> 2. Management of Restricted Wastes <br /> a. The Permittee shall comply with the land disposal <br /> restrictions in 40 CFR Part 268 , and any amendments to <br /> 40 CFR Part 268 after the effective date of this Permit. <br /> [40 CFR 268 and 270.32(b) ] <br /> b. The Permittee shall send a notice with each waste shipment <br /> to a land disposal facility which includes the following <br /> information: [40 CFR 268.7(b) (1) ] <br /> (1) EPA hazardous waste number; <br /> (2) The corresponding treatment standard; <br /> (3) The manifest number associated with the shipment of <br /> waste; and <br /> (4) Waste analysis data, where available. <br /> 17 <br />
