C-SHADRIFS.6/WPADD.1 <br /> 05/17/90 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> ' The purpose of this document is to provide rationale for and a <br /> description of the technical procedures which will be used in additional <br /> ' activities required to complete the Remedial Investigation (RI) and <br /> begin the Feasibility Study (FS) at Sharpe Army Depot (SHAD) . <br /> Additional RI activities are anticipated in three areas: additional <br /> soil sampling for arsenic, additional soil sampling for <br /> dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) , and identification of solid- <br /> phase, arsenic-bearing materials. Extended groundwater monitoring, also <br /> being performed, is considered an FS activity, because its purpose is to <br /> address treatability and migration issues. <br /> 1 <br />
