The work plan discusses the groundwater
investigation at DDJC-Sharpe planned to delineate Trichloroethene (TCE)
contamination in groundwater exceeding the detection limits in the C-zone aquifer
beneath the off-depot area west of the Central Area and North Balloon.
The proposed field work includes 12 CPT sampling locations planned to collect
groundwater samples specifically from sand intervals within the C-zone aquifer. The
C-zone aquifer was selected to better define the potentiometric surface due to the
recent analytical results taken from monitoring well (MW) MW526CD and MW528CD.
MW526 and MW528 monitoring data is showing the offsite TCE plume moving both
down-gradient and northerly from extraction well (EW) EWCC3.
DTSC has reviewed the work plan and has the following comments:
Specific Comments
1.) Page iii, Abbreviations and Acronyms; Please include detection limit (DL) i
the table.
9 Printed on Recycled Paper
