• 2. Non Hazardous Materials Spills <br /> a. Attempt to reduce or stop the spill /leak until the Fire Department <br /> and spill team arrive. <br /> b. Attempt to contain the spill (keep it from entering any type of drain <br /> or sump) until the Fire Department and spill team arrive. <br /> NOTE: The Fire Department and spill team have the protective clothing, <br /> materials, and equipment required to handle chemical spills and leaks. <br /> E. Non-DoD Response <br /> The identified equipment and personnel listed under the IRT section will <br /> be made available, as deemed necessary by the Sharpe Site Commander, to the <br /> Regional National Response Team as requested to assist in the containment <br /> and/or cleanup of a non-DoD caused spill . This will be done in accordance <br /> with the provisions of AR 500-60, Chapter 5, Paragraph 5-IF, the National Oil <br /> and Hazardous Substance Pollution Contingency Plan, August 1973. <br /> F. Sharpe Facility Evacuation Plan <br /> The Sharpe Facility Evacuation Plan is included in Annex E of this plan. <br /> • G. Plan Updating <br /> The ISCP must be reviewed and evaluated every three years. In addition, <br /> the Plan should be amended, if need be, as new materials are used or stored <br /> at the Sharpe facility. Furthermore, the Plan should be reviewed after each <br /> spill to ensure the Plan' s effectiveness. ISCP must be updated (amended) if <br /> one or more of the following events occur. <br /> 1. Facility Hazardous Waste permit is revised. <br /> 2. Plan fails in an emergency. <br /> 3. Facility changes substantially in design, construction, etc. <br /> 4. List of emergency coordinators changes. <br /> 5. List of emergency equipment changes. <br /> 6. Applicable regulations are revised. <br /> H.
