Based on the
results of the investigations, delineation of petroleum-affected soil and groundwater has been
completed and Chevron intends to submit a low risk site closure request to your office for the
subject property.
In its April 27, 2000 letter(enclosed), the Department of Toxic Substance Control concurred
with the human health screening evaluation that the residual levels of petroleum-related
hydrocarbons in the soils at the site are below levels that would constitute an unacceptable risk to
human health and the environment.
In order to facilitate your staff's review of the subject document, Chevron herein approves the
use of the Bruns Property cost recovery account for your staff's review time for this site.
Thank you for your consideration. If you have any questions or require additional information,
please call Penny Fottrell at (925) 842-1343 or me at (925) 842-1341.
Si ere
Robert D.
