Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Well Findings- <br /> i Western Oil & Spreading Inc Acampo Plant Site - <br /> 19256 N Highway 99, Acampo, CA <br /> i <br /> Please find attached, the Quarterly Monitoring Well Analysis Report for the subject <br /> site Also, please reference the Interim Summary of Findings, dated April 30, 2001 <br /> with February 28, 2002 Addendum forwarded to you earlier <br /> Background. <br /> The site is on approximately 2 13 AC of aggregate road base covered, improved <br /> land hosting a liquid asphalt and lignin based road oil storage and mixing facility <br /> iThe site's Industrial history has been chronicled back to 1955 Currently there are 12 <br /> above ground storage tanks containing petroleum hydrocarbon, water or lignin <br /> based products The site is active In 1985 the business was purchased by Mike <br /> iand John Telfer and renamed Western Oil and Spreading, Inc (WOS) Reference <br /> ATTACHMENT1, LOCATION MAP The site is bordered on the north by an open field <br /> (previously an apple orchard), to the east and south by open fields and to the west by <br /> several homes, separating it from the frontage road It Is one quarter mile south of <br /> Woodbridge Road in Acampo, CA within San Joaquin County <br /> ' Four underground storage tanks were removed from the site in October 19871 <br /> Petroleum hydrocarbon contamination was discovered resulting in a continuing effort <br /> ' to characterize, remedy contamination and close the site <br /> D K Barber P E and Associates performed characterization efforts from October <br /> 2000 through April 2001 Sampling with a Geoprobe, direct push technology boring <br /> rig, installation of a 62 FT deep monitoring well (MW No 1) and sampling of the <br /> ground water have indicated that contamination exists <br /> Very low levels of ethylbenzene and xylene (less than 0 015 mglkg) in borehole <br /> C-3 as well as trace amounts of ethylbenzene and xylene (less than 0 065 mg/kg) <br /> Ref "Report for 19266 N Hwy 99,Acampo,CA May 24,1999 Galiardo&Associates,Windsor, CA <br />
