e Page 3 Apnl 26,2002 <br /> ' QUARTERLY MONITORING WELL FINDINGS <br /> Western Oil & Spreading Inc Acampo Plant Site - <br /> 19256 N Highway 99, Acampo, CA Site <br /> Sampling Procedure <br /> ' On April 11, 2002, I, Dan Barber sampled WOS Monitoring Well No 1, (MW-1) I <br /> removed the surface flush cover, examined the interior and then removed the secured <br /> expansive plug from the enclosed 2 IN PVC casing A small portion of the undisturbed <br /> water was withdrawn using a clean 1 3751N ID x 32 IN long Lexan® bailer and <br /> visually examined for any free phase product Depth to water surface was measured <br /> with a Q E D "Well Wizard Water Level Meter, Model 6000 indexed tape and probe <br /> The well casing was bailed b hand, removing 10 times the standing water volume <br /> Y <br /> The bailed water was accumulated in a 5 GA bucket At 5 GA intervals, about 20 <br /> ' minutes apart, after continuous bailing, a grab sample from the bailer was measured <br /> for pH, electro-conductivity (EC) and temperature and visual characteristics noted A <br /> Hydac digital conductivity, temperature and pH meter with temperature compensation <br /> was used The well was bailed until "dry" The well cap was replaced secured and <br /> the well left to recover ground water <br /> ' I returned to the well about two hours later expecting nearly full recovery, based upon <br /> previous experience with the well The well's standing water volume had recovered to <br /> about 95% of it's earlier elevation <br /> A clean Teflon®disposable bailer was removed from its factory sealed wrap and used <br /> to collect sufficient sample to fill two each labeled quart amber glass bottles and four <br /> each labeled 40 ml VOA glass bottles VOA bottles were checked for trapped air All <br /> bottles were placed in an iced cooler and transferred to my office for refrigeration until <br /> turned over to Sequoia Laboratories' staff under chain of custody (C of C) for analysis <br /> Analysis Procedure <br /> ' The samples were received at the laboratory at 4 3 deg C, pH and EC measured and <br /> analyzed for BTEX, TPHd, and TPHg using DHS LUFT protocol Chromatograms <br /> were requested and furnished by the laboratory with findings <br /> Results are presented in tabular form with sample location site map as <br /> ATTACHMENT 2, "SITE CHARACTERIZATION -SUMMARY OF LAB RESULTS <br /> (See MW-1 pg 1 o the tabulation) <br /> 1 <br />
