.' EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The depth to groundwater was measured and water samples were collected from four monitor wells
and the Gillies domestic well on December 19, 2000 One of the monitor wells had been buried
under road aggregate during recent grading activities and could not be located, and the monitor well
on the adjacent property could not be sampled because a vehicle was parked over the well and the
owner could not be located The depth to groundwater in most wells was approximately two feet
less than in September, and ranged between 53 and 55 feet The groundwater gradient is not planar,
and groundwater is apparently flowing to both the west and south from a slight mound that is
located on the east edge of the site
All samples were analyzed for TPH-diesel, and one sample was also analyzed for TPH-gasoline and
BTEX Diesel was detected in four of the five samples The concentration in most wells has
fluctuated from quarter to quarter, without demonstrating any clear trends This remained true
during the fourth quarter, when the diesel concentration increased from non-detect to 100 parts per
billion in GT-5, from non-detect to 130 parts per billion in GT-1, and from non-detect to 160 parts
per billion in GT-6 Meanwhile, the concentration decreased from 180,000 parts per billion to 1,000
parts per billion in GT-10 The concentration remained below detection limits in the domestic well
•
