EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The depth to groundwater was measured and water samples were collected from five monitor wells
and the Gillies domestic well on September 14, 2000 One of the monitor wells had been buried
under road aggregate during recent grading activities and could not be located, and the monitor well
on the adjacent property could not be sampled because the property owner was not present The
depth to groundwater in most wells was approximately 7 feet deeper than in June, and ranged
between 55 and 57 feet The groundwater gradient is not planar, but the predominant flow direction
is to the south at this time
All samples were analyzed for TPH-diesel, TPH-gasoline and BTEX Diesel was detected in two of
the six samples The concentration in GT-6 was quite close to that in October and December 1999,
but the concentration in GT-10 was much higher and a free-product sheen was visible in the bailer
and sample bottle when this well was sampled Various volatile aromatic compounds were also
detected in GT-10, at concentrations close to those in 1999, but the gasoline concentration
decreased by more than 50% Neither diesel nor gasoline was detected in the domestic well
The samples from GT-1 and GT-10 were also analyzed for gasoline oxygenates MTBE was
detected at 10 ppb in GT-10, this concentration is unchanged since late 1999
1 II
