Cardboard saturated with oil was observed in a trash can. The trash can was located in the oil/lube section underground. No hazardous waste determination has been made. Metal grindings were obsery d on the ground surrounding the brake grinder. The grindings were in a cardboard box in front of the machine. The manager,Xavier Hernandez, said that the metal grindings get thrown in with absorbent for disposal as Non-RCRA hazardous waste. No determination has been made on if the metal grindings are RCRA hazardous waste. Any person who generates a aste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately make a hazardous waste determinati n for the wastes , and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. This is a minor violation.
