As shown on the enclosed Well Monitoring Report, the depth to water ranged from 57 to 59
feet This is a rise of 6 feet since depth measurements were taken in December(Table 1), and the static
xA ater level is now 18 feet above the screened interval Therefore, no samples were collected
The groundwater gradient and flow direction are shown in Figure 1 As in previous quarters,
the flow direction is south However, the gradient has doubled, from 0026 in July 1995 to 0055 at the
.present time This steepening of the gradient has probably increased the groundwater flow rate and
accelerated the migration of hydrocarbons toward the adjacent property
The adjacent property owner did not respond to Upgradient's three letters requesting
permission to drill monitoring wells on her property to locate the downgradient limit of groundwater
contamination It is our understanding that the owner derued your subsequent request for drilling
access, and that you will therefore recommend that further assessment be postponed until after the
State and Regional Water Quality Control Boards have developed and distributed new regulatory
and/or funding guidelines later this year We will continue to monitor GT-1, 2, and 3 quarterly
Res ctfully Submitte , r
-
Upgradient Environmental Consultants
Victor B Cherven, President t'c 3475
cc Ken Gillies q P
c ar CAUV
L
411182nd Street 3369 Kimberly Road
Sacramento, CA 95826 Cameron Park, CA 95682
(916) 452-2891 (916) 677-3055
Fax 457-1817 Fax 677-3055
