detect threshold for iodide and a level of 0.1 µg/100 cm2 for methamphetamine and for
this assessment.
METHAMPHETAMINE
➢ The laboratory results reported the presence of methamphetamine in ten of the
eleven wipe samples collected inside the house at levels ranging from 0.74
µg/100 cm2 on the Master Bedroom walls to 361 4g/100 c.m2 on the Hallway
Ceiling and Wall Vent.
➢ The surface wipe samples collected from the kitchen, heater return vent and the
hallway ceiling/ wall vents reported high levels of contamination. The samples
collected from the master bathroom, master bedroom walls, hall bathroom and
the northwest bedroom walls reported lower levels of contamination.
➢ Both of the soil samples collected were non-detect for methamphetamine. The
water sample collected from the septic system reported methamphetamine at a
level of 204 milligrams per liter (mg/L).
Methamphetamine is not found in normal building materials or household
chemicals. The level of methamphetamine reported in all samples collected was
higher than the Sacramento County EMD threshold criteria. The presence of
methamphetamine in wipe samples collected from the surfaces in the kitchen,
living room, bathroom and bedroom confirms the existence of residual chemical
contamination. The presence of methamphetamine in the aforementioned areas
warrants the treatment and/or removal and disposal of the affected surfaces prior
to re-occupancy.
IODIDE
Iodide is used as a target analyte to detect possible contamination from spilled
iodine and/or hydriodic acid.
➢ Iodide was reported at levels <100 4g/100 cm2 in all surface wipe samples, <10
milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) in both the soil samples, and <1 mg/L in the
water sample collected from the septic system.
➢ The surfaces sampled do show contamination by iodide.
PHOSPHOROUS
BFC Properties 9 NETWORK ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEKS,INC.
Preliminary Site Assessment NES Project Number 04-261
26237 Miller Avenue, Escalon, California
