Miller Ave PR#: 523216
Escalon, CA. 95320 CO#: 0020630
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) has reviewed Investigation
Summary Report and Request for Site Closure (Report) dated December 7, 2005 as submitted by
your consultant, Ground Zero Analysis Inc., and has the following comments.
Soil/sludge sample analytical results indicate that elevated levels of total recoverable petroleum
hydrocarbons (58,000 ppm) and total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (27,000 ppm)were
detected in composite sample of the buckets of soil/sludge returned to San Joaquin County after
being moved out of county.
Although EHD was not notified prior to the removal of the soil/sludge, septic tank, and liquid
holding tank, the analyses of the soil beneath the former septic system indicates that no residual
contamination remains that could leach into and contaminate the ground water beneath this site.
Therefore, EHD has determined that no further investigation of the site is required at this time.
Prior to providing a closure letter and indicate this site is closed on the EHD underground
injection control database, the account balance for oversight and review charges must be paid in
full. Enclosed please find your final bill. Once this balance has been paid, EHD will issue the 'no
further action required' letter and this site's status on the database will show 'closed'.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this investigation. Please contact Michael
Infurna, Senior REHS, at 468-3454, if you have any questions regarding this matter.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health DepaAment
Michael J.
