SENT BY: BROSAMER g WALL, LLC; 925 820 3184; MAY-iF 13 1 :15PM; PAGE 11
3.0 CHEMIC.AI. ANALYSES AND RESULTS
3.1 Chemical Analyses
The soil and ground water samples taken from the test borilt"s were analyzed for the
fol lowing:
• Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline + MTBEX, Total. Petroleum
Hydrocarbons as Diesel, Kerosene, Motor Oil, Stoddard Solvent (TPH-g +
MTBI-,X, TPH-d,TPH-k,TPH-nio,TPI-1-ss) (Modified EPA 8(.150);
• Halogenated Volatile Organic Compounds (HVCK's)(EPA Method 8010);and
• 1..11Fr Metals (EPA 6010).
As part of a screening measure, the soil samples collected from 5, 10 and 15 ft. bgs.
frorn each of the boring locations were composited (3:1). Although compositing is
less expensive than collecting individual samples, the method still has its drawbacks_
For example, positive results from composites do not determine which sample
depths (5, 10 or 15 ft, bgs.) were positive for a particular exploratory boring.
3.2 Analytical Results
Results of chemical analyses on the soil samples collected on May 6, 2003 are presented in
Tables 1 and 2. Results of chemical analyses on the grab water sample collected on May 6, 2003
are presented in Tables 3 and 4. Certified laboratory reports are presented in Appendix 13, including
chain-of-custody record data.
Table 1.
