Maximum concentration
detected included 25 mg/kg total petroleum hydrocarbons as gas; 810 mg/kg total petroleum
hydrocarbons as diesel; 270 mg/kg total petroleum hydrocarbons as kerosene: 44M mg/kg total
petroleum hydrocarbons as motor oil; 16 tog/kg total petroleum hydrocarbons as stoddard solvent;
0-M60 mg/kg benzene; 0.0095 mg/kg toluene; 0.014 rng/kg ethylbenzene; and 0.13 mg/kr total
xylenes.
No detectable amounts of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline, diesel, kerosene. mortem
oil, stoddard solvent or its constituents were discovered within the other soil samples collected at 5.
10 or 15 feet bgs, with the exception of 1.5 mg/kg of diesel within S13-2 (center west position along-
the.
longthe.southern portion of the subject site at 5, 10 or 15 feet bgs. In addition, no detectable amounts of
halogenated volatile organic compounds were discovered within any of the soil samples collected at
5, 10 or 15 feet bgs.
Detectable amotints of chromiurn, lead, nickel and zinc were discovered within all of the soil
samples collected at 5, 10 or 15 feet bgs. Maximuttt concentration detected included 46 trig/kg of
chromium; 8.1 rng/kg of lead;46 rrrg/kg of nickel; and 54 mg/kg of zinc.
Analytical results indicate the levels of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline, diesel.
kerosene, stoddard solvent and its constituents in tic soil are not considered significant and below
regulatory action. The level of these chemicals are below the. Risk Based Screening level of (400
mg/kg TPH as gasoline, 500 mg/kg TPH as middle distillates, 1,000 ung/kg TPH as residual fuefs,
_ 0.39 inn/kg benzene, 8.4 mg/kg toluene, 24 mg/kg ethylbenzene, 1.0 total xylenes ) set forth by (lie
Regional Water QnHlity Control Board for industrial/commercial sites.
PI IASE II-04 4-1 02-ENVO02S
