SENT BY: BROSAMER & WALL, LLC; 925 820 3184; MAY-i6 113 1 :16PM; PAGE 15
4.2 Recommendations
On the basis of the infurniation compiled frurrl the sampling of the native sail from seven
onsite test. borings (SB-1 - S13-7), our findings indicate levels of total petroleum hydrocarbons as,
motor oil appear to be impacting the shallow subsurface soil within the center east position slang
the southern portion of the subject site (SB-3 at 5. 10 or 15 feet bgs). This location is within the
area of previous miscellaneous buildings and above ground oil storage tanks associated with the
former SM McGaw Company road construction and paving operations. As such, Basics
recommends a copy of this report be. forwarded to the local enforcing agency (San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department and/or Reginnal Water Quality Control Board)for their review.
Based on the local regulatory agency review, the ownerloperator may be required to
"define" or provide more specific information about the contamination problem, I lowever, since.
(1) no significant levels of constituents of oil and grease (>-TVQCs. BTF.K or MTHF;) were detectcd
or detected above regulatory actions; (2) no significant levels of petroleum hydrocarbons or its
constituents were detected of detected above regulatory actions within the ground water; (3) the
subject site is underlain by clayey silts and ground water is in excess of 45 to 50 feet below ground
tiurfirce; (4) the subject site is located in an industrial area of the City of Stockton with no nearby
beneficial uses of water or sensitive receptors; and (5) the subject site and surrounding areas are
largely paved with concrete or asphalt, limiting surface infiltration, remedial actions may not be;
required at this time.
PHASE 11-04 4-3 02-EN V O02S
