Personal Protective Equipment <br /> Nitrile or polyvinyl alcohol gloves are recommended where contact <br /> with petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated soil, contaminated water <br /> or both is anticipated. Steel-toed shoes and hearing protection <br /> (either ear plugs or earmuffs) should be used during drilling. <br /> Other Safety Equipment <br /> The safety equipment which must be present on the site is : <br /> - Fire Extinguisher <br /> - Eye Wash Kit <br /> - First Aid Kit <br /> - An air-purifying respirators with organic vapor filters for <br /> each crew member. The respirator must be fit to the person <br /> prior to field work <br /> Personnel must be trained in the proper use of this equipment . <br /> SAFE WORK PRACTICES <br /> The Exclusion Zone must be demarcated through the use of barriers <br /> or traffic cones <br /> Smoking, eating, drinking, and chewing either tobacco or gum is <br /> prohibited in the exclusion zone. <br /> Potential ignition sources must be minimized. <br /> Site personnel must wash hands and face prior to leaving the <br /> site.
