PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br /> 3443 Routier Road, Suite A <br /> Sacramento, CA 95827-3096 <br /> Notice of Application for new Waste Discharge Requirements <br /> (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit) <br /> for <br /> EXXON COMPANY U.S.A. AND <br /> EDNA FILIPPI, <br /> FORMER EXXON RETAIL SITE 7-3942 <br /> GROUND WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM DISCHARGE <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Exxon Company U.S.A. submitted a report of waste discharge for authorization to <br /> discharge waste under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System <br /> (NPDES) . Exxon proposes to discharge treated ground water from the cleanup of a <br /> release of gasoline, primarily into shallow injection wells, and the remainder <br /> into a storm drain which is tributary to the Calaveras River. <br /> A public meeting concerning this matter will be held: <br /> DATE: 29 May 1992 <br /> TIME: 9:00 a.m. <br /> PLACE: City Council Chambers <br /> 1501 Truxtun Ave <br /> Bakersfield <br /> Persons wishing to comment on or object to the proposed requirements are invited <br /> to submit same in writing to the Regional Board no later than 26 May 1992. All <br /> comments or objections received by this date will be considered in the draft <br /> waste discharge requirements. <br /> A public hearing may be held upon the request of any interested person. After <br /> considering comments or objections, the Board may issue waste discharge <br /> requirements. <br /> Anyone having questions on these requirements should contact Patricia Leary <br /> at (916) 361-5624.
