Engineering, Science, and
Technology dated November 1991. The report contains groundwater
and analytical results from 9 monitoring wells (MW) and field
observations from 2 MW's, which indicate the presence of gasoline
hydrocarbons. Two additional MW' s were also sampled with no
gasoline hydrocarbons detected above detection limits.
Although MW 11 indicates no detectable gasoline hydrocarbon, the
location downgradient from MW 10 (now with insufficient water to
purge or sample) will not serve as a good data point to evaluate
the perfomance of the proposed groundwater remediation system.
In order to continue to characterize the plume and evaluate
groundwater treatment, it is essential that Exxon install
additional monitoring well/wells in a downgradient location.
If you have any further questions regarding this matter, contact
Harlen Knoll, REHS, at (209) 468-3442 .
Jogi Khanna, M.D. , M.P.H.
Health Officer
Laurie A.
