We feel this report indicates that significant
levels of soil contamination do not exist on the site. We also feel that
Exxon is not the major contributor to the existing groundwater contamination,
if we have contributed at all .
Since neither the source nor the extent of groundwater contamination is known
and no immediate threat to existing or potential water supplies appears to
exist, we request that you allow the sale and construction plans for the site
to proceed. Exxon will coordinate any future activities , that are required,
with the new owners .
Attached for your files is an additional copy of EA Engineering' s report. If
you have any questions or comments, please call me at 713-656-7755.
Sincerely,
JMK:bjs
9792d
Att.
c: R. W. Dennis
J . R.
