Proximity of private or municipal wells and irrigation wells. <br /> As illustrated in Figure 3-1 what may be a private well was <br /> observed approximately 1000 feet west of the site. <br /> Based on the information provided by the San Joaquin County Semi <br /> Annual Groundwater Report ( Spring 1986 ) there are two municipal <br /> wells within a one-mile radius of the site located about 2500 <br /> feet to the south-southwest across the Calaveras River. Both of <br /> these are managed by California Water Service Company. The <br /> well ' s depth ' s are 476 and 400 feet the tops of the screens are <br /> at the depths of 144 and 208 feet, respectively. Both wells are <br /> active. Well locations are shown in Figure 2-1 . A request for <br /> the inventory of private wells, industrial and irrigation swells <br /> in the vicinity of the site has been submitted to the California <br /> Department of Water Resources in Sacramento, and additional <br /> information will be provided in the problem assessment report. <br /> 9 . Location of nearby septic tanks and underground public <br /> utility lines. <br /> To EA' s knowledge the area is serviced by a public sewer system <br /> and there are no septic tanks in use.
