4. OPERATION OF THE UVB SYSTEM
' 4.1 SAMPLING INTERVALS AND REPORTS
41.1 Baseline
' Prior to startup, selected groundwater wells will be monitored for the applicable parameters
described in Section 4 2
4.1.2 General Operation
All wells selected as system monitoring wells, and also the UVB pressure-side offgas port, will
be sampled, analyzed, and measured (as appropriate) for the parameters listed in Section 4 2 on a
quarterly basis, and the data will be reviewed to maintain optimum operating efficiency
During and after initial startup, through the first two weeks, only designated nearby wells and
' influent and effluent vapor ports will be measured for the parameters stated in Section 4 2,
• prior to startup (to establish a baseline for evaluation of the system)
' • within 24 hours after startup
• 7 and 14 days from startup
The startup period consists of the first 2 weeks from initial turn-on All analyses during the
startup period will be performed within 7 days of sampling, and the information will be reviewed
for any necessary adjustment in order to have an effective and efficient start of the system
All analytical data will be entered ons spreadsheets and graphed These data will be evaluated
P p
quarterly to maintain the system at its optimum efficiency and to determine when acceptable
' contaminant levels are reached
' 4.2 MONITORING PARAMETERS AND PROCEDURES
Monitoring wells will be purged prior to sampling, in accordance with the existing quarterly
groundwater monitoring plan
4.2.1 Vapor Parameters Measured
' 4.2.1.1 Effluent Vapor
' All parameters listed below will be measured from the pressure side of the UVB blower before
offgas treatment begins The sampling port will be approximately 18 inches out from the
effluent port on the blower and approximately 12 inches before any union
1 Relative humidity (optional)
2 Air temperature (optional)
' WP61 73942 WPI096 TX 5 7
