However, delays caused by Mr. Knoll and the weather prevented the field investigation
from taking place until May 1991.
The Plans, Specifications and Estimate for the interchange project are due October 1, 1991. Our
time is at an end for getting resolution for this site.
I have scheduled a meeting with the San Joaquin County DA, Caltrans and the SJ Environmental
Health Division on August 29, 1991 at 2:00 PM in the DA's Office. This meeting will be to discuss
what actions, if any, are required to limit Caltrans future liabilities and still be able to meet our
construction schedule. Please review the attached Draft Investigation Report and supply your
comments if you are not able to attend the meeting.
Sincerely,
Gary Sweeten
Environmental Planner
cc: Michael Infurna, SJ County Environmental Health
David Irey, SJ County Deputy District Attorney
James Jelinek
Mike Sheridan
