STANDARD REQUIREMENTS <br /> SD-93-95 <br /> PAGE TWO <br /> (e) Compatibility. The second unit dwelling shall be similar to or <br /> compatible with, the existing single family dwelling; <br /> (f) Conversion or Removal. The following requirements shall apply to <br /> the conversion or removal of the second unit dwelling: <br /> (1) The second unit dwelling shall be erected, constructed, or <br /> installed so as to allow for its feasible removal or conversion <br /> to a nonresidential, accessory use; <br /> (2) Within three (3) months after the second unit dwelling is <br /> vacated, the unit shall be either removed from the premises, <br /> converted to a permitted, nonresidential, accessory use, or <br /> converted to be part of the existing single-family residence. <br /> (g) Public Sewer and Water. In urban centers, both the proposed second <br /> unit dwelling and the existing single family dwelling shall connect <br /> to a public sewage disposal system and to a public water system; <br /> (h) Other Codes. The second unit dwelling shall conform with all the <br /> requirements of the Local Health District and the County that are <br /> applicable to residential units in the zone in which the property is <br /> located; <br /> (i) Requirements for Mobilehomes. If the second unit dwelling is a <br /> mobilehome, the following additional requirements shall apply: <br /> (1) Additions. No permanent room additions shall be allowed, ut <br /> patio covers constructed of the same materials as he <br /> mobilehome shall be permitted; <br /> (2) Skirting. Skirting constructed of the same materials as the <br /> mobilehome shall be installed; <br /> (3) Time Limit. The Second Unit Dwelling Permit shall be effective <br /> for not more than three (3) years. Applications for renewal <br /> shall follow the same procedures, be subject to the same <br /> requirements, and pay the same fees as a new application for a <br /> Second Unit Dwelling Permit; <br /> (4) Construction Standards. The mobilehome shall be constructed to <br /> meet the minimum standards of the National Manufactured Housing <br /> Construction and Safety Act of 1974. <br /> BUILDING INSPECTION DIVISION <br /> 1. Obtain a mobilehome installation permit. <br />
