A Groundwater depth Approximately 30 to 55 feet
B Soil removed 0 soil removed
C History: The City of Stockton Public Works Dept.
discovered the tank in the sidewalk when they replaced a section of sidewalk. They notified
SJCEVHD who notified the owner of the property of its presence. The owner was unaware of
the tank. He contracted with Jim Thorpe, Inc. to remove the tank. It was removed under the
supervision of SJHSIEHD. A technician from GEO Analytical Laboratories took soil samples as
directed by SJHS inspector Toua Yang, EHS. The excavation was filled in with materials on
site and remains in that condition at this time. Copies of sample results are enclosed.
5. Samples will be collected by a technician from GEO Analytical Laboratories and
transported to their laboratory for analysis. A signed release of information authorization is
attached.
6. Re-excavationlresample: Due to the depth of ground water expected at approximately
30-35 feet and the size of the tank, Jim Thorpe, Inc. feel the best method of clean up will be re-
excavation. We plan to dig to an approximate depth of 16-20 feet. The excavation shall be
approximately 10' wide x 10' long x 20' deep. (See attached plot plan). Actual excavation limits
will be determined in the field based on conditions encountered. All soil excavated from site will
be pre-profiled to Forward, Inc. The soil will be loaded and transported off site to Forward, Inc.
during excavation. No excavated soil will remain on site or be placed back in the hole.
