Beginning January 1, 2013, all businesses are <br /> required to submit all new (or any changes to existing) hazardous waste information online to the CERS at <br /> http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in <br /> CERS in addition to any other relevant activities and required fields. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> This is a Repeat Violation (based on inspections on both sides of the business 1621 and 1634 Channel) No <br /> hazardous waste labels on four 55-gallon drums of hazardous waste removed from facility's caustic tanks last week, <br /> and missing all information except"content" and the words "Hazardous Waste" on the label of one red 55-gallon drum <br /> of filter soot. Ray demonstrated the start date of accumulation to be within 180 days. All hazardous waste containers <br /> shall be marked with the following information: <br /> - the words "Hazardous Waste" - name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties - physical state <br /> - composition (contents) - accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. This was corrected on site. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by April 24, 2015. <br /> Facility generated 8.3975 tons of hazardous waste the last 12 months (in oppose to the last calendar year). <br /> Facility remains on the same permit category of 5-25 tons. Facility began keeping hazardous waste disposal <br /> records for this address 1634 E. Channel around November 2013, in oppose to before when all the disposal <br /> records were uniformly listed under 1627 E. Channel. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov.
