` � ECLE V w <br /> CAMBRIA <br /> DEC 3 0 2002 <br /> ENVIRONMENT HEALTH December 27, 2002 <br /> PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Mr Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Re Well Destruction Report <br /> Former Shell Service Station/Current Pershing Oil Service Station <br /> 4445 Pershing Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> SAP Code 136142 <br /> Incident No 98996182 <br /> SJCEHD Site Code 1785 <br /> Dear Mr Knoll <br /> Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc (Cambria) prepared this report on behalf of Equilon <br /> Enterprises LLC dba Shell Oil Products US to document the destruction of four groundwater <br /> monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-4) and two vapor extraction wells (VEW-1 and VEW-2) <br /> at the above referenced site This work was performed in response to the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board(RWQCB)October 29, 2002 concumng with San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department's (SJCEHD's) recommendation for case closure and <br /> recommending that the existing wells be destroyed Well destructions were performed to comply <br /> with SJCEHD and California Well Standards Well Destruction Guidelines <br /> Site Description <br /> The subject property is located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Pershing Avenue <br /> and Rosemarie Lane in a nixed commercial and residential area of Stockton, California <br /> (Figures I and 2) During January 2001, Equilon Enterprises LLC sold the station to the dealer, <br /> who now operates the station independently of Shell <br /> Oakland CA Monitoring Well Destructions <br /> r <br /> San Ramon CA <br /> Sonoma CA Cambria obtained a SJCEHD well destruction permit (Appendix A) On November 22, 2002, <br /> Cambria Cambria field staff observed Gregg Drilling, Inc (Gregg) of Martinez, California destroy wells <br /> environmental MW-1 through MW4, VEW-1, and VEW-2 by pressure-grouting The well casings were filled <br /> Technology,Inc with cement grout from the bottom up Once the casings were filled with grout, a pressure seals <br /> 49erkms Street were placed on top of the well casings and additional cement grout was pumped under pressure <br /> PO Box 159 <br /> Sonoma CA 95476 <br /> Tel(707)935-4850 <br /> Fax(707)935-6649 <br />
