Box 5155
San Ramon, California 94583
Attention: Ms. Tina Berry
RE: Quarterly Report
Former Unocal Service Station #5098
5606 Pacific Avenue r7
Stockton California
Dear Ms. Berry:
This report presents the results of the most recent quarter of
monitoring and sampling of the monitoring wells at the referenced
site by Kaprealian Engineering, Inc. (KEI) . The wells are
currently monitored and sampled on a quarterly basis. This report
covers the work performed by KEI from July through September of
1993 .
BACKGROUND
The subaect site formerly contained a Unocal service station
facility and presently contains an office building. Extensive
excavation of contaminated soil was performed at the site in 1988 .
Five monitoring wells (four on-site, and one off-site) currently
exist at and in the vicinity of the site.
A site description, detailed background information including a
summary of all of the soil and ground water subsurface investiga-
tion/remediation work conducted to date, site hydrogeologic
conditions, and tables that summarize all of the soil and ground
water sample analytical results are presented in KEI ' s report (KEI-
P88-1013 .R2) dated July 15 , 1992 .
RECENT FIELD ACTIVITIES
Four of the five existing Unocal, monitoring wells (MW10 through
MW13) were monitored three times and were sampled once by KEI
during the quarter. Monitoring well MW6 was not monitored or
sampled this quarter since the well has been dry. During monitor-
ing, the wells were checked for depth to water and the presence of
free product. Prior to sampling, the wells were also checked for
the presence of a sheen. No free product or sheen was noted in any
of the Unocal wells during the quarter.
