The purpose of the investigation was to determine the degree <br /> and extent of ground water contamination at the site. The scope of <br /> the work performed by KEI consisted of the following: <br /> Coordination with regulatory agencies <br /> Geologic logging of four borings for the installation of <br /> four monitoring wells <br /> Soil sampling <br /> Ground water monitoring, purging, and sampling <br /> The destruction of five monitoring wells previously installed <br /> by other consultants <br /> Laboratory analyses <br /> Data analysis, interpretation, and report preparation <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND <br /> The subject site formerly included a service station and now <br /> includes an office building. Location daps and Site Pians are <br /> attached to this report. The site has been under investigation <br /> since mid-1985 , when the station was closed and two 10, 000 gallon <br /> fuel storage tanks and one waste oil tank were removed from the <br /> site. Soil contamination was discovered after the tanks were - <br /> removed.
