1 <br /> E11 <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL RESOLUTIONS, INC. <br /> September 30, 1999 <br /> RECEIVED ERI 227903 R03 <br /> ' Mr Bob Boust OCT 01 1999 <br /> Unocal DBG/AMG ENVI qt)N M t_N l f.,i =ALTH <br /> 2121 North California Boulevard, Suite 250 P S i1J,i.�S <br /> Walnut Creek, California 94596 <br /> ' Subject Addendum to Supplemental Environmental Investigation, Former Unocal Service <br /> Station 5098, 5606 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California <br /> Mr Boust <br /> At the request of Union Oil Company of California (Unocal), Environmental Resolutions, Inc (ERI) is <br /> I submitting this addendum to the report entitled Supplemental Environmental Investigation (ERI, July <br /> 30, 1999) for the subject site Unocal requested ERI to provide this addendum in response to a letter <br /> from the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (the County) <br /> letter, dated August 27, 1999 (Attachment A) In the August 27, 1999 letter, the County requested <br /> Unocal to provide an addendum that includes the following <br /> A professional conclusion section with a discussion of the data collected during the Supplemental <br /> Environmental Investigation (ERI, July 30, 1999) <br /> + Iso-concentration maps showing petroleum concentrations <br /> Recommendations for either further investigation or remedial/feasibility studies with a timeline for <br /> implementation of these recommendations <br /> In accordance with the correspondence and request from the County, ERI is providing this addendum <br /> ERI's response to additional comments provided in the County's letter will be provided under a <br /> separate cover <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> I, The former i Jnocal Service Station site, presently occupied by Washington Mutual Bank and Icon <br /> Business Solutions, is located on the northeastern corner of Pacific Avenue and Robinhood Drive in <br />' Stockton, California, as depicted on the Site Vicinity Map (Plate 1) The present building <br /> configuration, former service station layout, monitoring well locations, and other select site and vicinity <br /> features are shown on the Map of Area (Plate 2) Properties in the vicinity of the site are occupied by <br />' commercial developments and include a former Montgomery Ward Service Station located south of the <br /> site An irrigation well is also located south of the subject site on the San Joaquin Delta College (Delta) <br /> campus This well reportedly operates between May and October during the night and early morning <br /> at an extraction rate of up to approximately 240,000 gallons per day (ERI, September 9, 1998) <br /> 73 Digital Drive,Suite 100, Novato, California 94949-5791 415-382-9105 (FAX 415-382-1856) <br /> Lake Forest • Novato • Seattle <br />
