I trst Quarter 2001 Ground Water Monitoring Report <br /> Ciea�nu�and Abatement Order No 5-00-707 EAI Project No 1232 <br /> 2.3 Sampling Equipment Cleaning Protocol <br /> The submersible pump and hose system (Equipment), used only to purge the wells prior to <br /> sampling, was decontaminated between each event using the following procedure <br /> • The Equipment was flushed in a solution of Alconox detergent and tap water, and <br /> The Equipment was flushed with tap water <br /> 24 Effluent Handling <br /> All effluent generated during purging, sampling and equipment decontamination activities was <br /> sealed in labeled 55-gallon drums or in an on-site 500-gallon storage tank The water was <br /> stored on the Wards site pending proper disposal Manifests documenting disposal of the <br /> ' effluent will be submitted under separate cover <br /> 2.5 Robinhood Irrigation Well <br /> The RIW was shut down on August 22, 2000 In order to ensure that the well could not be <br /> accidentally reactivated, Delta College cut the electrical lines to the impeller pump and <br /> ' removed the electrical power source for the pump However, Delta College left the pump in- <br /> place Until the pump is removed, it will not be possible to sample the RIW No ground water <br /> sample was collected from the RIW for analytical testing <br /> It should be noted that historical analytical data for ground water samples collected from the <br /> RIW(see Table 1) show that contaminants have not been detected in the RIW during periods of <br /> ' nonuse <br /> e <br /> BWO 1232RO131 5 <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIT, INC <br />
